Things keep on rolling in the professional eSports world leading up to the season 2 finals, as yet another roster change has taken place among two prominent teams.
AD Carry Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black has left TSM.Evo. Former team mate Wingsofdeathx had unofficially commented that Aphro was headed to mTw.NA, and after much speculation, mTw.NA manager Gnomesayin officially announced that the player had joined the roster as their new bot lane carry.
Marking the 3rd major NA team change in 2 weeks, this parting of ways came from a difference in approach to the game. While no one can deny the bottom lane dominance that was Aphromoo and Nhat, there were a number of growing frustrations within the team.
And as a completely outside perspective, Aphromoo didn’t seem happy in his streams. Understandably so; as players have mentioned, the Nhat/Aphro combo continuously win bottom lane but the team as a whole lacks the focus to solidify victory. This of course lead to fighting amongst team members and demoralizes everyone.
In the end, it seems Aphro just did not believe he and his team mates shared the same drive to succeed in the competitive scene. It should be noted that there is no bad blood from either TSM.Evo or Aphromoo, and the two have made a clean break from one another.
With this change, An “Balls” Le of mTw.NA will be moving back to top lane, a role previously being temporarily filled by ex-TSM member The Rain Man and HolyitsDon. Aphromoo will be joined by mTw.NA’s support in bottom lane Muffinqt.
As for TSM.Evo, they have since officially announced picking up former Monomaniac eSports member Brandon “DontMashMe” Phan as their new AD carry.
How do you think this change will effect both TSM.Evo and mTw.NA? Was this the right choice for both parties?
