Summoners!
Ever wonder what would happen if Sivir and Darius had a love child that grew up idolizing Olaf, Vayne and Dr. Mundo?
Well ponder no more! Riot supplies us with an answer in the form of their most recent champion.
That’s right, Draven, — the Glorious Executioner — is now available for summoning on the Fields of Justice. And while his older brother Darius enjoys decapitating enemies up close and personal, Draven prefers a much more…dazzling display of brutality from afar. He combines the attack style of Sivir, bleed damage of Darius, displacement of Vayne, and the thrown-axe-to-the-face of Olaf and Mundo in order to create a truly devastating ranged carry.
But what sets Draven apart from his predecessors – and has this Summoner excited – is the introduction of a play style not yet seen in the League: juggling.
Draven has the unique ability to bounce his weapons off of enemies, catch them where they’re going to fall, and immediately launch them back out in a never ending cycle. Catching his weapon is the trick, making maneuverability crucial in ramping up damage and the juggling mechanic itself extremely engaging to the player.
Move over Olaf, there’s a new axe thrower in town.
