Hey everyone welcome back to another edition of eSports Report, the League of Legends edition for June 13th, 2012. We have some exciting matches coming your way so without missing a beat let’s jump right into it.
RESULTS:
OnGameNet: The Champions Summer 2012 qualifiers kick off today as we have a 16 teams battle it out for a chance to play in the OGN: The Champions Summer games! The top 8 teams of the qualifiers will advance to the main championship which will be held in July, and their placement in the qualifiers will decide their seeding!
For Day 1 we have two matches in both Group A and Group B, with NaJin Shield going up against MVP Red, as well as MVP Blue versus Team HOPE in a best of three format, the first two rounds being played as draft pick, and the last round as blind pick.

During the OGN: The Champions Spring 2012 tournament we saw familiar names participate, particularly Counter Logic Gaming and FnaticRC. While both teams did get eliminated during the quarter-finals, it goes to show that the Korean teams are going to be a force to be reckoned with. This time around we will be seeing other big international teams participate in the tournament, specifically CLG.eu, Team Dignitas, Natus Vincere, and China’s World Elite.
Similar to the Spring Championship, the tournament will be boasting the same amount of prize money with almost $155,000 in the prize pool, and the first place champions will win a whopping $88,000 prize. This will be one event you don’t want to miss!
The IGN Pro League Season 5 qualifiers rages on as both the European and North American brackets are dwindling down to their semi-finals. We continue today with two strong teams in the European scene, with Season 1 Champions FnaticRC going up against Made in Italy, who placed second in last weeks Go4LoL.
