Quinn and Valor have finally released, which means it’s time to start looking forward to the next champion to come to League of Legends, and it looks like the Zaun Amorphous Experiment has begun. Once again we have been given some teaser images in the form of a journal, but this time we are looking at notes from the Zaun Amorphous Experiment, and what starts out apparently cute and cuddly, will most likely not remain that way for long.
Work is being done to create what is labeled in the notes as the Zaun Amorphous Combatant. The image files that were posted on the League of Legends forum were initially given file names that included ZAC, so one can assume there is a chance that the new champion’s name could be ZAC. The specimen has grown rapidly since creation, and is able to alter its biological structure. From the descriptions and the details in the picture, there is plenty of speculation that some type of ooze creature is coming, which could explain this little scene from the League of Legends Mac Client launch trailer.
There has also been some information recently datamined from the League of Legends PBE that show ZAC’s recommended items currently include the Hunter’s Machete, which would seem to indicate a concentration of jungling. This of course could be changed at any time, but I figured it was worth noting since most of what’s out there is still speculation at this point anyway.
The League of Legends forum post that contains the Zaun Amorphous Experiment announcement is now full of post from Rioters, some of whom thoroughly enjoy playing up the “OMG what could it be?!?!” aspect of the reveal. Once Rioter comment that stood out was Subninja said that “he is a little similar to Cho’Gath in one respect. And also similar to Anivia in another.” We may have been given a bit of an abilities teaser as well. If it is an ooze champion, I can definitely see it engulfing its prey in a feast type execute. The possibilities are endless and exciting, but we are just going to have to wait and see what this all turn out to be. It looks like we can definitely look forward to more experiment notes soon, and the prospect of an ooze champion is quite intriguing.
