Hello everybody and welcome to another exciting edition of the LoL Report, dedicated to bringing you the latest updates around the League of Legends eSports scene.

Without further ado let’s jump right in:

The Absolute Arena Cup is a new monthly tournament designated to replace the Absolute Pro League for the month. The tournament will be played as a double-elimination with eight top tier European teams will be battling it out for a prize pool of €1500. Each match played was a best-of-one, with the exception of the grand finals being best-of-five. Prior to the tournament, there had to be three changes to the lineups due to various reasons, causing teams CLG.eu, AbsoluteLegends.EU, and Natus Vincere to forfeit and be replaced by Eclypsia, against All authority, and Team Acer.PL (respectively).

in2LoL announces its own weekly King of the Hill series in which two European teams will be battling every Monday for a shot at €500 in a best-of-five battle royale with the winners having an opportunity to defend their title the following week (a maximum of five times). This week we have Curse.EU going up against FnaticRC, with the winner defending their title later on today.

The second qualifiers for the IGN Pro League Season 5 tournament for both North America and Europe come to a close this week with the Quarter Finals playing out over the week and the grand finals taking place during the weekend. The winners of each qualifiers will be invited on an all-expense paid trip to attend IPL5.

The Leaguepedia North American Invitational is a North American tournament organized by Leaguepedia, a League of Legends wiki dedicated to following the competitive scene. 16 teams are invited to compete for a prize pool of $3,000 in Cash, as well as $2,000 in sponsorship gear.

IN OTHER NEWS:

  • French team ‘Millennium’ undergo a lineup change as they replace Dax and Entenzwerg with former Against All Authority members, nRated and YellOwStaR.
  • Netherlands’ locals LowLandLions undergo a complete roster overhaul with Tarzan, Alibabba, Phoonie, Beliganbeast and Foton leaving and replaced by Sneaky, Vision, Groarr, Morsu and Pronooblol.

    Good article.  The tables are a little hard to follow and a bit overwhelming.  Brackets might make the information easier to view and track how the teams are doing.
