Hearken Summoners!
The latest season 2 standings are here!
Not surprisingly, Team SoloMid leads the North American circuit with a commanding 325 points over rival and 2nd seed Counter-Logic Gaming.
Boasting 4 consecutive LAN tournament wins, things are looking particularly well for the bay life team heading in to the season 2 championship. With precious few events left, it’s on CLG and 3rd ranked Dignitas to keep up the pressure. To put it bluntly, this is TSM’s to lose.
But will they have enough? Does TSM simply have too much momentum?
Not according to dark horse favorite Curse Gaming, who proved no team is untouchable with their 2-1 victory over TSM last week at their own invitational.
Of course…they didn’t actually go on to win the tournament…but the point was made.
Which brings me to the European Circuit.
Although not as active in the recent months, Moscow Five sits comfortably at the top following their dominance at IEM Kiev and Hannover. Despite their defeat at the hands of CLG.eu during DreamHack, M5 will most assuredly remain the #1 ranked team heading into the season 2 championship with a whopping 550 point lead.
That being said, the 2nd and 3rd seeds are still heavily contested. And with the European Challenger Circuit in Poland at the end of the month, we may very well see CLG.eu or FnaticRC replaced as main contenders.
Who will take the season 2 League of Legends crown? Personally, my money is on Team Dynamic.
Jungle Olaf, what?!
