The folks at Hi-Rez Studios continue to pump out new gods and yesterday revealed a rather corpulent warrior that will be joining the ranks in SMITE soon. Bacchus is the Roman god of wine, intoxication, and madness and in SMITE he’ll take on the role of a magical tank. His creed “Eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow you may die” sums him up and you can blame him for all of this YOLO nonsense.
Bacchus has a drunk-o-meter that fills up as he drinks from his ever-full jug of wine. As it fills up, he gets more powerful as he smashes opponents with an over-sized turkey leg. He has hilarious animations and sound effects to accompany his attacks and is sure to be popular as he burps and belly flops around the map.
