The Spring Arena is upon us!
The format has been laid out before our feet and as we take our first tentative step onto new ground, we discover the holy land.
No more Extended Series!
We’ve raged, we’ve posted in Caps Lock and finally MLG have taken away the Extended Series. For those unaware of what the ES is, it’s a defecit that follows you through the tournament. If you meet the person again further down the line you begin the series at the deficit you ended the previous match, resulting in you having to win double the amount of games to proceed.
The rest of the news is also amazing!
We will be seeing a match-up between every single player in a massive group where you will be seeded into a single elimination bracket.
Dont worry if your favorite player loses all their matches, you will get to see them at least seven times and every single match will go the full three games — even if they lose the set in the first two! Rather than the elimination after a few games if they are not on form, you are going to see MC or HuK play a decent number of times.
A week full of games and you are going to be spoiled for choice and it’s a great chance for you to follow your favorite player.

He has the most to prove. Dropping from Code S and the last two MLGs being beaten at the final hurdle by MarineKing — who is the first choice for most people– and just needs a win to keep his best-player-in-the-world title that has been up in the air since MarineKing’s recent dominance.
PartinG and MarineKing have the biggest punch to take it to DRG, but dont count any of these players out!
HuK always shines at MLGs and he is also in hungry for a win!
