This week has seen a changing of the guard for the foreign star in the GSL Code S.
There has only ever been one person that did consistently well in Code S for the foreign fans, we had Jinro making the RO4 at the beginning to be succeeded by HuK as the foreign star.
Now that mantel has been claimed by NaNiwa.
NaNiwa takes his group 2-0 not dropping a game to both MVP_Genius — last season’s runner up — and StarTale_Virus taking first spot in his group with a highly successful 8-1 record so far this season.
His performance was incredible, overall this season NaNiwa has been very dominant, taking down Genius this week can only cement his place in Code S.
Having made it to the Round Of Eight, NaNiwa has confirmed himself a second season of Code S while HuK has fallen from Code A in a second successive season. Losing to StarTale_Hack, whos meta game caught HuK off guard with very aggressive one-base play.
Along with NaNiwa, Liquid’HerO took down Leenock and MVP to clinch his group 2-0. Closing a great week for the foreign scene in Code S.
Code A was once again full with great games.
JYP vs Seal on Entombed Valley is a must watch as JYP takes out the up and coming Zerg. While DongRaeGu takes down RevivaL in a fashion that shows he wants back into Code S.
