Iron Squid Season One Finals!
This weekend Paris will play host to the finals of the Iron Squid tournament, as four of Korea’s top pros fight it out to be champion of France.
Slayers_MMA, LG-IM.NesTea, Fanatic.aLive and TSL.Symbol are the survivors of one of the most jam-packed StarCraft 2 tournaments in recent memory and the finals weekend is set to be just amazing as the majority of the tournament.
This weekend will play host to a ZvZ and a TvT to open the proceedings. We will have a finals set to be a thrilling ZvT, the match-up that has provided many amazing matches in the past.
But who will take the top prize of a whopping $12,500?
We are more likely than not going to see NesTea in the finals just for the fact he is one of the greatest ZvZ players the StarCraft 2 scene has ever seen and hardly any players have toppled him. I don’t see Symbol doing so.
Who will be joining him? I’m going to say that it will be aLive.
He has recently had some TvT high profile wins — in IPL4 vs MarineKing and actually taking down MMA himself in the GSL Season One RO8 — and MMA has failed to make a big impact on the scene recently after doing so well during 2011, but the fact is that he is MMA and can easily take a tournament due to fact he is easily still one of the world’s best Terrans.
Any matchup between these players will make a thrilling finals as every single player has been displaying their power in this tournament, Symbol in particular has risen through the racks, taking the fight to some of the biggest names in StarCraft 2.
Make sure to tune into this finals this weekend as I can assure you it will not be disappointing.
