Avengers Assemble!

Are you ready to save the world as one of your favorite Marvel superheroes?  Gazillion Entertainment’s upcoming Marvel Heroes MMO is due to arrive later this spring, and today they have announced a set of starter packs for their Founders Program.  Each starter pack comes with one or more heroes, a costume for that hero, some in-game currency, and some early access to the game before the official launch.  The game will launch free-to-play, and from what we’ve been told so far, all items can be acquired through the game.  The starter packs give you a chance to score some hero swag while also supporting the game.  Check out the what’s in each of the starter packs:

Starter

There are 16 different Starter Packs available. Each pack includes one of 16 Super Heroes to play at launch, one bonus costume for the chosen hero, $10 of in-game currency and two days head start prior to launch. Each Starter Pack will be available for $19.99.

Premium

There are seven different Premium Packs available that will come equipped with a team of four heroes from across the Marvel Universe, including X-Force, Uncanny X-Men, Marvel Knights, Avengers, Marvel NOW, Marvel Classic and a special Deadpool pack (Why? Because he made us do it). Players will also receive four bonus costumes for their team, $30 in-game currency and four days head start prior to launch. The Premium Pack is available for $59.99.

Ultimate

The optimal value of the Founders Program, the Ultimate Pack includes access to ALL heroes available in Marvel Heroes at launch, ALL launch costumes plus four Ultimate Pack exclusive costumes (Maestro Hulk, Wolverine Weapon X, Spider-Man Symbiote and the Iron Man 3 Movie Armor), $50 in-game currency, seven days head start prior to launch, a permanent 5% experience boost, a permanent 5% item find boost, and more. The Ultimate Pack is available for $199.99.

The Marvel Heroes MMO is a blend of action-rpg and MMORPG that comes together to give players a Diablo-styled superhero online world where they can play as their favorite Marvel superheroes while exploring the world and mouse-clicking bad guys to death.  The game is a lot of fun to play, and I’d definitely recommend it to folks who enjoyed games like X-Men LegendsMarvel Ultimate Alliance, and of course Diablo.

You can check out the starter packs over on the official site, as well as create an account to sign up for a chance at beta access.

$199.99 is pretty hefty. I’m sure if they have a cash shop I’ll be spending more than that in a year.. if the game is good.

    I’d probably do Premium.

These packs also come with addition Bonus in game currency.  This was not mentioned in the above list.  Makes these bundles far more worth it if you’re really interested in the game.  For ex. the $199 seems to come with $100 in game currency, unless I’m not reading this correctly.  Not to shabby if you ask me.
