Bethesda has announced via a new trailer their latest Skyrim DLC HearthFire. Players will not find any vampires or dragons, but the opportunity to construct your own house by picking a plot of land and floor plans.

From these humble blueprints, players will construct various parts to complete the house, adding rooms to their liking and fleshing out each room with an assortment of trophies, armor, tools etc.

After the house is built to your specification, then it is time to bring in the misses and consider adopting the “nice” children found throughout Skyrim.

With a nice little family in line and your parenting skills growing stronger to combat a child’s desire, you will be on your way to bliss until a skeever or ogre attempts to drop by and play whack the stewards.

Check out the full trailer and if you happen to have an Xbox 360 get ready to download HearthFire this September 4th! Sadly no word for PC/PS3 users.

This is great! I always said Skyrim need to be more like The Sims….no wait; no I didn’t.

Ah who am I kidding? I’m probably going to buy this anyway.

Blah blah bla x-box blah blah blah No word on pc…

Honestly man…What the hell are you talking about?

PC can mod the game in hundreds of ways…XBOX we got nothing.

They said they would only be doing bigger DLCs. Such as the last one. It added a lot of content. I’m actually disappointed with this one. They have one like this that another person made for the pc. Its on the nexus.

And that means absolutly nothing to console players. Is it so hard to understand that they may actually want to bring the console experiance a little closer to the PC experiance? That is why these addons always come to the Xbox first. PC players have tons and tons of advantages over consoles players due to our supirior hardware, so I really don’t see the problem with throwing the console players a bone every now and then.

In my humble opinion Bethesda has always been one of the best when it comes to dlc content.

    • Revanhavoc

I humbly accept your humble opinion, kind sir. (You guys are reminding me of Neil Armstrong now, most humble man ever. *tear*)

I hope Fallout 3 is the precedent we are going by and the DLC will keep coming. Dawnguard didn’t do it for me (just like Operation Anchorage, eh Revan?) exactly, so I hope the equivalent of The Pitt (which was awesome, eh Revan?) yes it was, is on the way next!
