Anybody want a live-action Mass Effect movie? BioWare has given us a taste of what a Mass Effect film could be like with their new, live-action Mass Effect 3 trailer. Although it shows absolutely no gameplay, this one minute clip is likely to get you amped.

The sight of Reapers destroying buildings and bridges is reminiscent of Independence Day (or ID4 as all of the cool kids call it). Seeing Shepard run through the ruins of a city is exciting, and the use of his Omni-Blade is pretty killer. But the coolest part? Seeing the Normandy fly above Shepard. It’s enough to give a guy (or gal) chills.

Much like last week’s “Take Back Earth” Mass Effect 3 trailer, this new live-action video premiered during AMC’s The Walking Dead. Mass Effect 3 will be available on March 6, 2012 in the US and March 9, 2012 internationally for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. A demo for the game is available on those platforms.

Definitely not as good as Skyrim.

Would rather they don’t show Shepard.

There won’t be a movie, they’re just doing a Skyrim and making a live-action trailer.

i don’t know where I saw it but, hasn’t BW said that if they do a movie the film wouldn’t have anything to do with the game story lines. As for fitting the Mass Effect story in a movies time frame, they did it with The Lord of the Rings so I don’t see it as being an issue for ME.

Did anyone else notice that they didn’t show Shepard’s face? I’m guessing it was to preserve the icon and not force the image of an actor on the face of Shepard but still it was interesting.
