When the first Darksiders came out in 2010, nobody expected the title to make the industry impact that it did.
As somewhat of a dark Legend of Zelda clone, gamers and critics alike championed Darksiders to the point that THQ decided to make a sequel. Enter Darksiders II, in which gamers will play as a different Horseman of the Apocolypse — this time it’s Death, whereas last time it was War — as he goes on a violent rampage on Earth.
In this new trailer, dubbed “Death Strikes Part I,” we see the aforementioned character on his mission to destroy anything and everything in his path. The trailer doesn’t show anything in terms of gameplay or narrative, but it does show Death delivering some serious damage to pretty wicked-looking enemies.

As announced previously, Darksiders II is coming out on June 26 in the US and June 29 in Europe for PC, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Wii U.
