First Trailer Released For Indie Reset

I have to admit folks, I haven’t loved a gameplay-free trailer this much since last year’s Dead Island piece.

If my only knowledge of Reset were through this trailer, I would think this is a title about contemplative, depressed robots.

I would be perfectly fine with that.

Those who are not down with a game solely about morose machinery are in luck, because the concept behind Reset is actually really cool.

Taken from the game’s official site, “Reset is a single player co-op first person puzzle game with a strong emphasis on story and atmosphere. The unique game mechanic in Reset is the ability to travel back in time to solve puzzles co-operatively, with yourself.”

Reset is being made by Theory Interactive, an indie game studio formed by only two people.

Currently the title is only planned for release on PC. No word yet on a release date.

There are dozens of trailers better then that crap.

     i personally prefer gameplay trailers

Time traveling Wall-e who saves mankind?!? Saw this on their website: “Everything you see in the trailer is straight from the in-game engine, no up-ressed textures, geometry or effects. Pretty good for an indie company imo.

I agree with it being a really well made trailer for an indie dev, though I really doubt the trailer was made straight from the engine, though nowadays nothing surprises me

It’s not a robot. Watch the last bit, there’s a person in there. I missed it the first time.

    • ChristopherMitchell1

Except I think if that is actually a person they are dead… I’m not entirely sure it is a person but if it is they did not look healthy and the passage in time shown in the video lends evidence to that since a person can’t sit there unmoving long enough for trees to grow…

      • http://twitter.com/Sylaurin Ryan Hoerber

well yeah, but read the stuff on the screens inside. Nanobot reconstruction and defibrilation, so he’s sort of resurected.

  • ChristopherMitchell1

Interesting. The cynic in me just has to point out something irrelevant but there is an ad just above the video, an ad just to the side of the video, an ad played before the video can be played, an ad at the end of the video, an ad that pops up to obscure the screen at the start of the video, an ad that pops up to obscure the screen near the end of the video, and now the host throws an annoying ad at me at the start of every video for netflix… all of this for less than a 5 min video. I understand the need for advertising but this is getting rediculous. I can handle all the other crap but the one that throws the needle at my bubble is the netflix schpleel at in EVERY video. I like the new studio guys but you’re turning into EA…

  • Revanhavoc

Man you guys hated the Johnny Cash trailer but you liked this piece of crap? I thought it was a Halo realtime weather effects demo, then I thought it was the sequel to WALL-E only this time WALL-E 2.0 is suffering from depression. Then the mech booted up as if I’m supposed to care. Yawn. Oh god I hope people don’t yawn now when they are reading my comments and think I’m boring.

  • Old Ben

Shame they couldn’t be bothered to learn what “defibrillation” actually means.
