The Humble Indie Bundle V ended yesterday after selling nearly 600,000 bundles and taking in over five million dollars to be divided between the featured developers and charities. As we mentioned when we talked about the recent bundle, one of the games in this set was Frictional Games‘ Amnesia: The Dark Descent.
About two days ago, people visiting the website for the sequel to Amnesia noticed something interesting — a countdown timer synchronized to the one on the Humble Bundle page counting down to the end of the sale.
Now that the sale has ended and both timers have stopped, it turns out that Frictional just wanted to thank the Humble Bundle buyers with a taste of Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs.
The teaser, which features some of the environments in the game, creepy music and something that sounds like a very large pig trying to break down a door doesn’t really answer many questions about the game other than “Is it creepy?”. In my opinion — OMG, YES.
Congratulations, Frictional Games and thechineseroom. You have created yet another game it will take me years to complete because I freak out after playing for about five minutes.
