Well in that respect I totally agree, I do actually have the apps blocked to stop getting invites, I guess that’s why I never thought about that part of it when I replied :p
But I still never felt like I had to spend my own money to get a head when I did play it.

I actually dislike games like Farmville greatly because they force you to add more people to progress in any significant way. Not all of my FB friends enjoy having people spam them with invites. I don’t enjoy being spammed with invites to the oodles of FB games people play.

And I’m certainly not going to add people I don’t know just for the sake of having Farmville friends That’s the whole reason that while I’m signed up for it, I’m not playing The Secret World’s FB app. Even though you get prizes for playing.

Don’t get me wrong i’m all for games like Farmville..etc because in my opinion its a good example of how things should be done, when i use to play i never felt like i HAD to buy/spend money to get a head

I downloaded the EA theme park app having played it constantly throughout my childhood on PS1, and was so excited when it had finally been released for mobile/app.

However when i started playing i noticed for the “best” items you had to pay real money to get the currency “Super Tickets” for the rides, and even then it was stupid amounts like 800 odd tickets or more for one ride which would cost like £13.99 for 300? to have enough for ONE ride it would total £41.97….For that price i could go to a fricking theme park!!I

uninstalled it and deleted it off my iTunes :/

I like his honesty. But I also like that he’s not just calling people out but is also promising to not be like that. It’s easy to criticize people for business practices and then turn around and do the same exact thing.

Haha.. It’s true. The progress does slow down significantly. I personally don’t pay for any stuff in mobile games. I just play them until I get bored and move on to something else. I guess some of them do get revenue from the ads. But then not all of them have ads.
