Let’s be honest.
There are a lot of games with zombies, skeletons and other monsters running around, but it’s not very often you get to make them rather than eliminate them.
We all spend a lot of time playing the ‘good guy’ and saving the poor villagers from the evil — well, whatever kind of evil it is at the time. And when you really stop and think about it, are the villagers grateful? Or, do they hand you a package and ask you to deliver to someone two houses down before sending you into the mines to kill whatever they’re afraid of this time?
Just once, I’d like to be able to show those villagers who’s boss.
So enter Nekro, another Kickstarter project by darkForge that a few of our community members have pointed out to me.
It’s been talked about by a few people now and with good cause. The game has a fun concept and — from what we can see — a unique art style almost reminiscent of Tim Burton. However, for a while, it was looking like Nekro might not make the funding cut. Three days ago the project was a little over $30,000 shy of hitting it’s goal.
After checking this morning, the project is fully funded with three days to go.
I have to say, I’m pretty happy that this project has made it. I adore the idea of playing as the ‘bad’ guy.
