Hands-on With The New Additions To SWTOR's Legacy System

The Legacy system gives perks and rewards for doing what you would normally do in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Everything you do in SWTOR that would earn you standard XP — from leveling to PVP to dailies — earns Legacy XP as well, even if you have hit max level.

Game Update 1.3 just hit the test servers yesterday. We at GAMEBREAKER feel that this is an excellent opportunity to take a look at the new bonuses you can gain through the Legacy system.

Advancement perks top our list because you can now gain XP faster on an alt — maybe skipping the boring parts of the level process. However, the convenience perks are also great for those player that aren’t alt-oholics.

Legacy is meh. All the alts in the world wont fix shit endgame. Maybe next quarter when were under a mill theyll catch on. Still no open world pvp and space is still on rails lol seriously? Come on bioware. Maybe in 3 years well be where we should be now

I wish they would dump this legacy system.

Fluff is nice, but no one really cares about having to reroll over and over just to get some cosmetic items.

Still waiting on my character to be transferred over, hopefully tomorrow he will be there so I can check these out and play around with them, so far all I have been able to do is start a low level and do the LFG system.

Decent vid but seriously please get a script i mean all those ehm uhms do not add to the quality also i appreciate the explaination on legacy but i think we gamers can do the math when you said they stack it was all we needed about the patch itself i think they are fixing the game in a pretty good speed they will %90 release 1.3 by the end of this month because you know, fiscal reports aka sub numbers

Population Estimates for the Top 20 US Servers is the thread name.

it’s painstakingly researched with logging in and writing down active player numbers per server and so on… just read it

xfire stats on SWTOR: around 1400 players

xfire stats on GW2 beta: around 2000 players

yes, xfire is just a small sample, but the relation between the two is interesting.

if swtor has really 1,3 million subs, then GW2 must be at almost 2 million sold already ^^

in all seriousness, I’ve seen more players in GW2 beta on my server (darkhaven) than I have seen SWTOR players on my FULL server in December even
