Another 250,000 Mists Of Pandaria Beta Invites Go Out

250,000 more Mists Of Pandaria beta invites have been flown out into email inboxes today.

Bashiok posted last night — to the official forums — that once again a rather substantial wave of beta invites has been distributed around the World Of Warcraft Annual Pass holders. From previous estimates it seems 50% of all pass holders should have received an invite after this wave is complete.

Unless the Annual Pass has had a massive surge of new buyers as the beta madness has taken hold of the community.

Keep your hair on, those who are still waiting, Blizzard are churning out the invites, yours will be “coming soon.”[tm]

After initial server testing, it seems that Blizzard are confident that their servers can take massive influxes of invites. With waves this big we can expect to see all beta invites to be distributed within the next few weeks.

With such a large portion of the beta testing community charging at MoP to get their hands all over it, how long until beta actually ends? I’m sticking by my bet of two months, when you have over one million QA testers you are sure to move substantially faster than previous betas.

I’m not in the beta /sadface (signed up for pass day of bizzcon and had an active account since 2004 and have tested the other 3 xpacs) >.<

However i must say this, I am disappointed by Blizzards choice to remove the feedback button in this beta. While i understand that there will be less 'enthused' testers that are playing simply because of the annual pass, it does not negate the need to give timely and relevant feedback on content.
I feel this beta will be more about promotion than testing tbh and I'm not sure if it is a good direction for Blizzard.

  I wholeheartedly agree in regards to feedback here. When i got my beta access last night and i logged in, as did a few guilds, i prepped them for what i THOUGHT we where going to see: Sruvey’s survey’s surveys and MORE survey’s. I expected it, hell i wanted it, so that i could help blizzard by providing my feedback.
  
  i guess the alternative is to take to the forums and go through them, but when it was in game it was so much easier to file bug reports or complete surveys on quests etc.

Erm with people locked into the annual pass and the game coming out some time in summer how is the beta going to hurt sales? Are you implying that the game comes out and some annual pass holders just keep paying for 4-5 more months of playtime of Cataclysm without buying an expansion?
Vast vast majority of beta testers will be annual pass holders and it is very unlikely that they wont buy the expansion, it’s like WoTLK coming out and you keep playing BC for the next 4 months, I just don’t see this happening. Even if they don’t like the expansion they are still locked into the annual pass and no-one is going to keep paying to play obsolete content once the expansion rolls around. It just doesn’t make any sense to me.

  Its more of the word of mouth I think.
  Out my 5 mates that play WoW I am the only one with the annual pass. And that reflects the 1million out of 10million.
  Some people start QQin about certain features and stuff word will spread and people may not want to buy the game if their mate is all “THIS GAME SUCKS!” they will still have to buy MoP but their friends may not

Oh well, I cant get to the quest item. Can’t get my panda past level 2. As to the question about not buying MoP because im in the beta, there is no way I’m leveling that many toons to 90. I’m looking to run some instances and lfr on pre-made characters.
