Yes, the bug raid is full of bugs. We reported the other day on the nerfs to the heroic version of the first boss, and now there’s been another bug plaguing this new raid, in its raid finder iteration.
What was happening was that players were being locked to bosses they hadn’t killed. What does this mean? Well, if you’re locked to a boss in LFR, you can’t get loot from it. Why was this happening? Well, for some reason, when wipes happened, players were being locked to bosses they wiped at, if they were present when the wipe took place. This meant that all bosses had to be one-shotted, or no loot drops would be given, not even the Cache of Mogu Riches that certain WoW writers get every time they run the raid finder.
But this is LFR, right? It doesn’t matter if you have to one-shot bosses because they’re all a walk in the park. Wrong. Heart of Fear in LFR is not the easy raid we’re used to, it actually requires tactics, and as ever, the complaints are rolling in. Blizzard can’t win, really, with LFR, people complain it’s too easy, then complain it’s too hard.
But at least, they have won the battle against the bug. This has been hotfixed without a server restart, so wiping in LFR Heart of Fear will no longer lock players to the boss.
If you have been afftected by the bug, do contact Blizzard Customer Support via an in-game ticket, as they are currently considering how best to compensate afftected players.
