not for PC… Why we event talk about it.

    • InvaderMig

Indeed.  I didn’t care all that much before, but now that it’s only on console, it’s all but worthless to me.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/FPXO267IVAHL3MK4HRRNRQPNDA Bush Swanson, The American Dre

HI HERE’S THE CUTEST PUPPY IN THE WORLD, BUT YOU CANT PLAY WITH HIM IN THE LIVING ROOM ONLY IN THE MOLDY BASEMENT

  • http://twitter.com/LiamRdsn Talos85

Big let down, back to waiting on other games like Archeage, Wildstar and Elder Scrolls Online.

    • http://twitter.com/Luke_Malcolm Luke Malcolm

I have no care for Archeage, but Wildstar looks interesting and I’m excited for ESO’s PvP zone.

  • gamewiz

Yea .. NO PC… good luck with that! Also yea Gamebreaker needs to remember most of its base are PC gamers…just sayin

    • http://twitter.com/razorXwire steven luther

I’m not sure that they knew that it would only be for console, and just because it turned out that way, doesn’t mean they should just stop covering it.

      • http://quintlyn.com/ QuintLyn Bowers

We have no intention to not cover something just because it’s for console.  If it’s interesting we want to cover it.  So no worries there.

    • http://www.JKKennedyTV.com/ Justin Kennedy

I am sorry gamewiz I am not sure what you are getting at. We did not know the answer to PC at this time and in addition we have talked about the court documents seem to mention that PC is likely to occur for the second installment of destiny. Which means it is all relevant as it is believed the installments will be connected still.

No reason not to cover a huge game that people are interested in just because it is console. Many of our viewers and readers still play console some and are more than likely interested.

  • Kingmob23

Leading up to the reveal Bungie devs had stated that the pc version was in the works but it would be coming out later than the console. Has this changed or have people started assuming it has because it is being released on x-box 360 and ps3 first?

    • fuchtnacht

There will be a PC version because if they don’t, they’ll just never get the cross-over business from the PC MMO player demographic. They’ll realize that it’s hurting their sales eventually.

      • Kingmob23

Yeah, I’m not sure what all the complaining is about who cares if it comes 2-6 months after the ps3, x-box 360 release? I’ll just play TESO in the meantime.

    • http://twitter.com/dularr Dularr

The on going questing system should be interesting.  Can Bungie keep the quests for Xbox 360 and PS3 coming out at the same time.  Will the PC port quests come out at the same time as the console quests.

      • Kingmob23

I bet they sync up eventually or close to it. The delay on the pc maybe due to them tuning their anti-piracy technology. I sure by the time the second installment is released it will be a simultaneous across all platforms including the PC.

  • http://twitter.com/akaDiskord Rick W aka Diskord

dang, i was maybe sort of intrigued by this game…. until the words “NO PC RELEASE”. what sucks is that it will probably do really well, prompt other companies to make more console friendly or even console exclusive “mmo”s (I prefer the term “shared world shooter”), and further water down the MMO market, which is already dominated by games which are marketed on buzzwords like “accessible”, “easy to learn, hard to master”, or “casual-friendly”, which is PR speak for “made for the lowest common denominator of gamers”.

    • Eric Davenport

LOL you clearly don’t know your numbers. WoW is incredibly dumbed down compared to most other MMO’s and it has over 9 million subs.

      • http://twitter.com/akaDiskord Rick W aka Diskord

um… what? I just said it would be massively successful BECAUSE its dumbed down…

        • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1260066056 Steven Diaz

I think he meant to respond to gamewiz but clicked your name instead.  Either that or the game is directed toward him… if you get my meaning.

    • gamewiz

More likely be a colossal failure since their missing the largest player base of games namely pc… The whole 10 people playing it will be delighted. See you in TESO, Neverwinter, or Wildstar!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1545440815 Paul Mohr

What if there IS a connected PC component, but it’s not being developed by Bungie.  It’s interesting that one of the character classes is the same as the code name of Blizzards next PC MMO.

    • http://www.JKKennedyTV.com/ Justin Kennedy

Yes this is interesting. When I saw that I had to laugh a little bit.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Michael-Byrne/100001642673542 Michael Byrne

Don’t get me wrong I am certainly interested, but I am very curious why they are launching the “next 10 years” on consoles that are on their way out. Should be an interesting ride though! We shall see!

    • http://twitter.com/dularr Dularr

The transition from current gen consoles to next gen should be interesting.   Will you have to buy a next gen console at some point to keep playing your character?   Can you switch platforms without starting over?

      • Eric Davenport

Next gen consoles are coming out this year and their is no way Destiny is coming out before then. The only problem I can see is if the next consoles don’t last 10 years. (which i honestly think they should make a new console every 5 years to stay current)

  • Pete Cuellar

Am I the only one around here that plays on PC and Consoles!?

    • http://quintlyn.com/ QuintLyn Bowers

Nope.. I play on both as well. Although more PC recently since I pay less attention to TV.

    • Eric Davenport

Same here bro. I honestly believe that if you don’t play both console and PC then you can’t call yourself a gamer.

  • http://twitter.com/inkthedink INKS

Interesting, will wait for a PC version if there ever is one. Looks really cool though, sadly I stink at shooters so perhaps another reason for me not to play as much but I’ll be following it.

  • http://twitter.com/Deaths_Keeper D-Keeper

    FPS on console…ick

    • Eric Davenport

      Sad sad kid.

  • Sharuko

Way too much hype, instead of talking about the game they talked about how great the game can be and the period of time it can be great.

    • Razor4884

This has to be the first comment I’ve ever seen from you that I actually agree with.
While I understand that they don’t wish to release anything concerning the game that’s not “set in stone,” I would like to see more aspects of its gameplay and mechanics. Still, I trust Bungie knows what they’re doing. As long as we don’t get TOO over-hyped for this, and we don’t place too many unwarranted expectations, we should be pleasantly surprised when it actually launches.Hell. Who am I kidding? We’re the internet…Aaal aboard!! The hype-train express! Choo! Choo!

  • http://www.facebook.com/Kyuzos Diogo Pereira

NO PC RELEASE?  The game is dead already them

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1223768682 Tommy Amundsen

On console lol what a total joke, just cant take this serious.I’m sure the kids will enjoy the game Moving on.

    • Eric Davenport

      Keep trollin trollin trollin.

  • http://twitter.com/dularr Dularr

Not an MMO.  Not a PC game. Shooter.  Eventually a PC port.  Sounds like most of the story occurred in the past.  Hope it doesn’t have too many flashback on what happened.  Not sure what you get from pre-purchasing.

Do you think the Shooter crowd will be happy with a game were you can’t beat the single player mode, co-op mode and/or multi-player mode.  Sounds like you get assigned new quests, go out and complete the quests.

Keep seeing the term gambling come up. Hopefully that doesn’t mean pay to win. Wonder if you can sit in the city all day, gamble and win the best gear in the game.

    • http://www.JKKennedyTV.com/ Justin Kennedy

Dularr, it is mentioned that the game will not be instanced with just your group. They stated that you will go to a planet and run into other players. So the game is not simply do this mission do that mission and just instanced. Console or PC does not determine the genre either.

      • http://twitter.com/dularr Dularr

Sounds like Bungie will spawn a mission(quest, instance) and allow multiple players enter that instance.  Wonder if they will allow for both private and public missions.  Setting up for large established group play tackling mission objectives or allowing ad hoc group or individual play.

Or it could be a questing zone.

    • Eric Davenport

That is exactly what a lot of gamers want. Especially with all the rumors going around about how the xbox 720 and ps4 wont be able to play used games. Gamers want games that will last them a long time, not games they can beat in a day.

  • http://twitter.com/Luke_Malcolm Luke Malcolm

I’m excited to acutally have another interesting FPS game to play on my Xbox instead of Halo or Sports games for once.

I could careless if its not on PC.

  • DoctorOverlord

Cool to see GBTV doing updates on Sunday for this.

No PC release?  Well, that means I’ll just be following the game in a academic fashion rather that as a possible future purchase.  Ah well.

  • http://twitter.com/Stone_LX9 Stone LX9

No PC release? LOL Good luck with that. The bungie cord broke

  • HartsHope

the last Bungie Halo PC port i played was so fucking bad that i still have the taste of vomit in my mouth.

this game is dead to me

    • Eric Davenport

I completely agree. But you seriously not have any consoles?

      • http://twitter.com/Bahska Bahska

Not everyone has a console just like not everyone has gaming PC.

    • BabyChooChoo

…maybe because Bungie didn’t port it. Bungie never did any of the PC ports. They were handled by 3rd parties.

  • http://www.facebook.com/rkingsboro Rob Kingsboro

I’m getting a very ArenaNet-promotional-style vibe from every developer lately… and I’ve never played a Halo game… but I like what I see here. Hopefully, it’s PC exclusive. >;)

    • Eric Davenport

Watch the video and find out how wrong you are… And you have never played a halo game? so sad…

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/W76UOX2IDTRMMYTPASSJDLXLRM Bob

Why play Halo when there are far, far superior shooters on PC? Halo was basically the first console game that was close to the class of a PC shooter but it never was any better than them.

  • Eric Davenport

Looking cool definitely sparked my interest. Though I’m not sure why this is on a PC fanboi website. Just look at all the non-gamers cry that it isn’t on PC and because of such they won’t play it. If you don’t play games on console AND pc then you cant call yourself a gamer.

    • http://www.JKKennedyTV.com/ Justin Kennedy

Not everyone here is PC only. Many of us still play consoles and this game has full relevance as an MMO.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Bill-Williams/1781575779 Bill Williams

PC gamers are gamers you MORON!!! You don’t have to have a PC and consoles to be considered a gamer

  • http://twitter.com/LusitanGaming Lusitan Gaming

    “Limitation is only our Imagination”

lol Limitation is the consoles hardware, can someone direct me to where is said its an mmo

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Shawn-Hargrave/100003202374593 Shawn Hargrave

i dont see anything new or inavative here. Looks like gw2 in space artwork and basically halo as a mmo lol. Im seriously starting to believe devs are getting thier degrees online or live in caves sigh.

  • http://www.facebook.com/andrew.shlaimon Andrew Shlaimon

    Not on PC?

I dont know if that is arrogance or stupidity on Bungie’s behalf….

Either way, I’ve completely lost interest despite owning both consoles.

PC is superior in every aspect, failing to see this is to fail as an online game developer.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Bill-Williams/1781575779 Bill Williams

I agree with you. This game should be on PC too. It’s STUPID not to have it on PC

    • BabyChooChoo

Historically, multiplatform games have done exponentially better on consoles when compared to their PC counterparts. The only real exceptions are games with heavy PC roots such as Portal, Elder Scrolls, Witcher and stuff like that. And even then, aside from the Witcher, those games have barely done better than their console counterparts.

  • http://twitter.com/cipero Matt Cipriano

man..why would they create a game they plan to keep around a long time for outdated systems that are reaching the end of their lifespans? looks cool but have a feeling it will leave me disappointed. A PC version shouldn’t even be a question in today’s gaming world. A company like Bungie should know this by now.

    • Pete Cuellar

They said that the game is being made for both this gen and the next.

      • http://twitter.com/dularr Dularr

It will be interesting to see if you will need to re-purchase the game once Microsoft and Sony release the next gen consoles.

  • Drew Duncan

Not on PC, not interested. I sold my XBOX since I never used it and my PS3 has become my living room media center and nothing more.

At least the team behind Star Citizen knows where it’s at.

  • hiroprotagonist1

I was planning on buying the new Xbox anyway, so Destiny just gives me more incentive.  I think this game may actually have the ability to sell consoles for both MS and Sony.

The style of the MMO reminds me a bit of Diablo III with the addition of an open world hub where you can show off your loot.  If done correctly, it could create a new genre of social shooters.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Bill-Williams/1781575779 Bill Williams

Destint isn’t coming out for the next Xbox. It’s an Xbox 360 game

  • http://www.facebook.com/shane.cominotto Shane Cominotto

Lets make an mmo for the people that dont play mmos (normaly) Smart thinking…. bet you this game ends up with less players than Secret world.

    • http://www.JKKennedyTV.com/ Justin Kennedy

Ironically Bungie is much more known in the console world for obvious reasons regarding Halo. Therefore it makes sense for them to target an audience first that knows their work best.  In addition, no one said MMOs can not do well on consoles, it was simply the issue that the older MMOs that we have did not work that well in our mind conceptually since they involved a lot of clicking.

If you think about it a shooter would not involve as much clicking since it is aim based. This makes it so the MMO concept does not hurt the games chances, and instead it helps. Gamers will feel that they can get a longer rid out of the game beyond just instanced PvP everyday.

      • http://twitter.com/dularr Dularr

I call shenanigans on that response.  Bungie is a highly respected game developer and could release a PC game and be very well received.

  • http://twitter.com/Thaguf Thaguf

Ill buy this, seems like something I would like.

  • http://www.facebook.com/jason.ackerman.96 Jason Ackerman

There is already a FPS/MMO that is coming out, FireFall.  What’s bigger then HALO…..any MMO.  HALO was a FPS so it wasn’t that big.

    • BabyChooChoo

…excpet Halo 1 and 2 were the the two best selling original Xbox titles. That and the series as a whole has sold over 50 million copies and made billions of dollars.

So  what exactly are you talking about? Because even when talking concurrent players, Halo has always had tens of thousands of unique users logging on daily even well after it’s release.

The only MMOs that are “bigger” than Halo are probably WoW and arguably Eve.

Halo is kind of a big deal whether you like it or not.

      • http://twitter.com/DiamonddustE Diamonddust

Depends on what you mean with bigger. If it’s the size of the game and content any MMO can beat it any day. If you’re talking about box copies being sold then some of the popular titles like Halo, Gears of War and the whole shabam would probably  come out on top. Then again 50 million copies after a few years. Any MMO that has been hyped will have comparatively sold the same or more amount of copies.

    • IrishBrewed

Halo wasnt that big? Uh bigger than all MMO’s actually. Im no fan but I know Halo is huge. FPS is a vastly more popular genre as well.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Bill-Williams/1781575779 Bill Williams

I can already tell that this game sucks. Why does it suck? It sucks because it isn’t coming out on PC and since it isn’t I don’t really care about this game.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Bill-Williams/1781575779 Bill Williams

    Destiny rather

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1260066056 Steven Diaz

I just can’t get excited for this game regardless of how much I try.  So far everything seems boring.  Maybe I’ve just become very cynical due to the last few game releases, but the game just seems boring from what they’ve said.  That and they actually didn’t say anything.  I heard a lot of words coming out of their mouths but not many of them were actually informative.  Perhaps when they release more information I’ll be more excited about it.  Well, that and when they have a PC release date.  I have my 360 but I have no interest in supporting consoles due to the new design decisions companies have taken with the “no used games” concept.

    • http://www.JKKennedyTV.com/ Justin Kennedy

There is ironically a no used games concept on PC as well.

      • http://twitter.com/dularr Dularr

        Comparatively, PC gaming has piracy.

        • http://twitter.com/cipero Matt Cipriano

I get what you’re saying but xbox and ps games have been getting hacked for years as well, and piracy usually doesn’t have any bearing on games that are always online. For instance, sure you can go download a pirated version of wow but it won’t do you any good because you’d still need to log into the servers.

          • http://twitter.com/dularr Dularr

For WoW the example would be private servers.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1260066056 Steven Diaz

Absolutely true, but that was never a part of the PC culture, it has always been a part of the console culture.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Bill-Williams/1781575779 Bill Williams

That’s your opinion not a fact.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Bill-Williams/1781575779 Bill Williams

So maybe this game is connected to Titan?

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Shawn-Hargrave/100003202374593 Shawn Hargrave

How is this any differnt from anything else out there or coming out? if i was to take 2 people off the street and show them this game defiance and halo and hide the names they would probably think its the same game lol.

  • http://twitter.com/dularr Dularr

Starting to wonder if this had been a PC only game, everyone would have expected this to be a f2p game with a cool cash shop.  That might be reason enough to initially release this on console only.

  • http://www.facebook.com/kaj.udanga Kaj Udanga

Am I the only person who laughed when he typed in the words “My body is ready” on his smart phone?

  • Rocky Neloms

Am I the only one who sees this and thinks… Robotech….

    • Gamizero

you’re the only one..    robotech has giant transforming robots..  this game doesn’t.

this is more like PSO on the dreamcast.   Basically this game is trying to be what PSO was 12 so odd years ago, for the console market, I hope this game does well.  I’m interested in it, but sadly it seems to be limiting itself.

  • Depravity

Bah, the current generation of consoles is getting trumped by the PC, so I don’t expect this shit to be anything worth mentioning in 2 years time. Especially considering the limitation of processing power of Xbox 360 and the PS3. It just isn’t gonna cut it.

At least in my eyes something aiming lower than Planetside 2 (in terms of gameplay scope) is going to fail. And you couldn’t even imagine these consoles to run something similar to Planetside 2, not even close.

    • http://www.JKKennedyTV.com/ Justin Kennedy

The deal is here it is expecting to have features and story that PS2 does not have. PlanetSide 2 is definitely not a proper comparison at all. In addition they plan to have installments (expansions) each year. The believe is that the second installment will go out on the next generation consoles and perhaps even the PC as well then.

  • http://twitter.com/AirCavScout AJ Simm

Sorry, anything being released on PS3 and XBox360 in 2013 or beyond is total grabage.

  • http://www.MasterRenny.com/ Thomas Renshaw

Its always extremely funny when PC gamers cry theyre not getting it on PC! and then try to justify it failing due to that fact. Its pretty pathetic if im honest

And as for the weather and “events” they dont plan, thats rubbish because it be randomized and looped because it be the same set of events in the list of what it might be. Until a game AI gets total freewill to that of an human it wont ever be unconrolled

  • http://twitter.com/Hoigwai Hoigwai

Disappointing, I stopped playing consoles a long time ago. Well, it looks interesting but unless it’s developed and not ported to pc I won’t be bothering.

  • Ravenstorm

This looks incredible, and I don’t care what other ppl say, I’m sad I can’t play this unless I go buy a PS3 or X-box. Tbh I’m a pc gamer. In the past I played a lot of PS2 games with my friends but always there remained the discipline of the pc. Heh, I just used a Conan the barbarian reference, but that’s my way.

I for one really hope somehow this game will find it’s way to the pc. It looks to die for.

  • theunwarshed

I’m failing to see the big risks being taken here.  It’s not having a cross platform release, it sounds like it’s a lobby-based instanced world, doesn’t sound like an mmo to me.  Perhaps, at most, it will do something like APB with their 100-player capped instances, but it really sounds more like a co-op shooter…meh.

    Titan (moon)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaNot to be confused with Titania (moon).Titan (or Saturn VI) is the largest moon of Saturn. It is the only natural satellite known to have a dense atmosphere,[8] and the only object other than Earth for which clear evidence of stable bodies of surface liquid has been found.[9]
