Okay guys… I know we’re usually the ones throwing on some tinfoil hats around here. But at this point, I have to bow to the master.
In a recent show, conservative host Glen Beck decided that a few things regarding the recent attack on the American Consulate in Libya did not add up. So he did a little math of his own and came up with Goonswarm being a CIA front.
The “proof” of this claim rests on a message sent by Goonswarm member Sean Smith, aka Vile Rat to his fellow Goons in which he said:
Assuming we don’t die tonight. We saw one of our ‘police’ that guard the compound taking pictures.
Beck’s theory is that the message was a request to the CIA for help.
Repsonse from Goonswarm appears to be mostly amused or, in cases like The Mittani, speechless.
My personal favorite comment on the entire subject so far comes from a commenter on Beck’s site saying:
In better news fellow gamers and Goonswarm members have raised nearly $100k for Smith’s wife and kids.
