I think it would be like World of Warcraft or other games, their battle system pretty auto forces you into a group, hopefully people and game designers will not try to attach obligations to staying in the group or playing and they will be more fun (when you can come and go as you please).

I would love playing the tactician of these maps, I think it will give me a chance to shine talking about a longer term large scale battle. Only when I don’t feel like being lazy though, or you know not having other things get in the way.

if you only want to play with your friends 5 really should be enough for any one time, or you could make a guild if it was chat you wanted and honestly a guild is just as good given there is absolutely no benefit to grouping outside of the chat channel.
