Sylvari do not reproduce at all.
The only one who can give birth to Sylvari is the Pale Tree

That color palette that doesn’t seem to do anything, I think is for bio-luminescence. If the lighting had been changed to dark while playing with it, the luminescence would have been visible. And I say “I think” because I totally missed it when I was in the character creator too. I was told about it after the weekend was over. I actually reported as a bug at the time.

You missed the best part about making a Sylvari MikeB! Push the light bulb icon to shut off the lights to see your characters “glow” effect. >.<

Oh the hours I’m going to spend in character creation… One of the biggest let downs in SWTOR for me was the lack of customization. All the characters were humanoid types, and they even shared a lot of the same facial features. ArenaNet really got creative with this game…

I mean, they even gave the Sylvari bio-luminescence!
