Rev3 Games conducted an interview with The Elder Scrolls Online‘s Head PvP Designer Brian Wheeler at E3, who revealed a few new tidbits of info that are sure to have expectant fans drooling.
Stealth won’t just be the purview of “sneaky” characters, like thieves and rogues. In keeping with Elder Scrolls tradition, everyone will have the ability to sneak — though some will undoubtedly be better than others — just as any character will be able to use any weapon, as well as block or sprint.
Additionally, a little info was leaked regarding monster AI. Wheeler says that monsters will act intelligently, “like players act in PvP,” with mages backing off to create distance and fighters running up in your face. Does this mean that monsters will have access to the same skills and abilities as players? Could be.
The PvP designer didn’t have much to say about PvP, other than that it would be massive, with 100-200 players partaking in battles in the central province of Cyrodiil, which will have several features that Oblivion players will recognize. Maybe we’ll finally get to see a non-trashed Kvatch?
