The Secret World Release Date Moved To July 3rd

Funcom has announced that due to ‘market reasons’ the company will be postponing the ship date of The Secret World.

Rather than receiving the game on June 19th, fans will have to wait until July 3rd to receive the game. In conjunction with that, Early Access will now begin on June 29th.

This news follows an announcement on Thursday that Funcom has partnered with NVIDIA in an effort to make The Secret World the most “graphically advanced” MMO on the PC platform.

Funcom has also taken the opportunity to announce the dates and content for the final two beta weekends.

The third Beta Weekend will take place June 15th through June 17th and will feature all three factions as well as the entire Savage Coast region. Players will also have access to the ‘Hell Raised’ dungeon, which is accessible via the scenic Overlook Motel.

The fourth and final Beta Weekend will run between June 22nd and June 24th. This BWE will focus on PvP. Players will get to try out the Eldorado battlefield as well as get some time in a massive warzone. Of course, all three factions will be available here as well.

For those of you wondering… At this time I have no information on sites doing invites for beta giveaways.

I’ll keep an eye out and update this post when I know something.

This is Funcom. The game is not even half ready… just like AO and AOC. Both those games were delayed and still sucked like crap.
