Earlier this year pro-skater Tony Hawk was part of a prank video which showed him riding an actual hoverboard just like the ones from Back To The Future II. Quite a few people were fooled, as the video was created in order to look as legit as possible. Tony even ended up filming an apology to those who were upset that they were misled.

Fast-forward a few months, and now we have Tony Hawk, pro-skater, riding another hoverboard. The only difference is, this one is real.

Hendo Hoverboards require a special surface in order to ride, but it’s the first step in a new technology that the movies thought we would have by now. Check out Tony Hawk riding the hoverboard in the featured video above. You can also head over to Kickstarter and back the Hendo Hoverboard project. And if you wanted to see the prank video from earlier this year, you can watch that below.

The browser-based game called MiniDayZ started as a tribute game to DayZ, but has since been picked up by Bohemia Interactive. Now the publisher hosts it on its website. It’s a top-down single-player survival game.

Just like DayZ, the idea is to just survive. You have to fend off zombies and other people all the while trying to fin food and water. The mechanics are simple and the gameplay easy to understand. Plus, did we mention that it’s free. You can go to the official website for the game and play it right now. I’ll give you a link; go play it now.

TellTale Games created Tales From The Borderlands, but Gearbox had quite a hand in the creation of the episodic choose-your-own-adventure game. Telltale released the video above that features Gearbox developers and writers explaining exactly what Gearbox’s involvement was in creating this next chapter in the Borderlands adventure.

Borderlands, as series, as always been a first-person shooter, but the stories and characters within those FPS adventures stand as some of the most memorable in video games. Tales takes this memorable universe and creates a game that focuses on the stories themselves.

Look for the first part “Zero Sum” from Tales From The Borderlands to hit PC, Mac, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3 very soon. Android and iOS devices will have the first part before the end of the year.

It would seem that Pippin has a nice singing voice. That’s Billy Boyd, who play Peregrin “Pippin” Took in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and he’s singing a song titled “The Last Goodbye”. The song will play over the closing credits in the upcoming The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies movie set to release on December 17.

The Juggernaut, Guardian, Marauder, and Sentinel information for Star Wars: The Old Republic 3.0 has been loosed onto the internet. With the latest bit hitting just before the show started, our host are able to give their raw reaction to the changes coming to the game.

Longtime followers of this show will know that Marauder is Larry’s main class and some of these changes have him a bit worried. Specifically, the synergy of the class. And it also seems that the role distinction of DPS is shrinking.

Besides the classes changes, we also get a chance to look some new screenshots for Shadow Of Revan coming out of the official Las Vegas Cantina event. Our hosts were duly impressed with the coming speeder mount.

Finally, they talk commendations. Is it the right thing for BioWare to do, crunching all the armor currency down?

Our host Larry Everett from Massively and GAMEBREAKER welcomes Chuck from Bad Feeling Podcast as a special guest this week to discuss the prospects for SWTOR 3.0 and the upcoming expansion Shadow of Revan. You can catch our weekly discussion of Star Wars: The Old Republic every week at 6:30 p.m. PST on Thursdays in a little show we call The Republic!
