If you’re still lamenting how long it’ll take you to earn rewards in Guild Wars 2 dungeons, ArenaNet feels your pain. Well, if you’re willing to do explorable mode dungeons to earn your gear, that is.
Today’s patch notes center around dungeon rewards, and there’s a glimmer of hope for hardcore farmers:
Dungeons reward 20 tokens for completion and now reward an additional 40 tokens for the first time they are completed each day. This means that if players can complete all 3 chains of a dungeon in a day, they’ll receive a total of 180 tokens, which is enough to purchase some of the smaller rewards.
At this rate, a full set of armor could be acquired in a little over a week — or, if you’re not quite that hardcore and only want to do one dungeon run per day, three to four weeks. Seems reasonable.
You’ll have to do the whole dungeon, though; tokens are only handed out at the end of the run, so no farming the first boss.
Various class and other content fixes were also included in the patch notes, including a few more difficulty tweaks and bug fixes on personal story steps and dungeons and the removal of loot drops from enemies in tutorials.
Really, though, if you feel the need to stay in the tutorial to farm loot… just delete your account now.
