SWTOR Releases Free Trial And A Refer A Friend Mount

Today Bioware announced the release of Star Wars the Old Republic‘s unlimited free trial and the “refer a friend” reward…aka new shiny mount of awesome.

The free trial allows players who have not paid for a copy of SWTOR a chance to play up to level 15 on all eight character classes. Players will only have access to the Origin Worlds, Capital Worlds, the fleet, all Warzones, the first Flashpoint, and crew skill ranking up to 40.

Free trial members will also have limited chat options, no use of the Galactic Trade Network, nor the ability to trade with other players. It is also worth noting that free trial members will not earn Legacy points while playing.

As for those of you already playing SWTOR Bioware are dangling a shiny carrot for you as well. If you get your friends to purchase and subscribe to the game you will be rewarded with a new mount, the Kurtob Alliance Speeder.

Keep in mind you will have to both maintain a working/in-good standing account and be opted in to receive emails from Bioware.

Must be a another quarterly meeting soon, they always do the free giveaways a few weeks before they have to *cough* spin the losses.

  their financial quarter ended on June 30. this will only affect this quarter and as such will only be reported on the next call scheduled to take place in October. they may make allusions for potential profit growth on the call scheduled for this month, though.

Still will not return to play until they have 4 or more new species to play like Duros, Torgruta, Rodian and so on.

OK first I’m thinking OMG sweet we are getting pod racers for mounts, maybe even get a pod racer mini game or something right?

Oh ya I almost forgot havoc, thanks for reminding me. And of course what do we get? A half arsed mount that looks like a pod-rocking chair a ROCKING CHAIR!!!

  They really need to have pod racers in the game or give mounts a temporary speed boost for players to compete.

Even though it’s a rank 1 speeder, its speed is 110%, which is the highest speed available. So it’s a way to get the fastest mount really early on in the game.

You can get the mount at lvl 10 with lvl 50 speed.just need to be legacy lvl 10 and pay 20 000 credits in the legacy unlock.

  40,000 for the credit unlock. I just did it on my level 10 Jedi Knight.
