In a feat of wicked determination and unbounded courage, disabled gamer Keith “Aieron” Knight streamed Guild Wars 2 yesterday for 12 hours to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy.
And while some of you likely played 12-plus hours of Guild Wars 2 yesterday as well, Keith has a physical disability called Amyoplasia Arthrogryposis—which falls under the Muscular Dystrophy umbrella—and he controls his character by using a pen in his mouth to hit the keys and his cheek and earlobe to control his mouse. Despite his limitations, he maintains a healthy sense of humor by titling his livestream show: “Disabled Gaming: Look Mom, no hands!”
You might expect his gameplay to feature some dynamic events and low-key PVE content, but you’d be dead wrong. Keith enjoys structured PvP and plays matches as a mesmer, elementalist, guardian, and thief. Spoiler alert: he’s better than most of us!
If you didn’t get a chance to see his awe-inspiring play yesterday, check out his Twitch channel and watch the VOD below. While Keith was able to exceed his goal of raising $5000, you can still support Muscular Dystrophy Canada by donating on his page.
