Cryptic Studios is having fun making games again. You can tell by the how good of a game Neverwinter is shaping up to be, and how entertaining their trailers for the game have been. The entire series of videos for their upcoming Dungeons & Dragons based MMORPG have been both informative and entertaining, but the Neverwinter Mounts trailer above was especially fun to watch and at one point it caught me completely off-guard, and I wound up having to go back and watch it a second time because I laughed all the way through the end. I won’t spoil the good part for you, but it’s definitely worth a minute of your time to watch.
Yes, the video is essentially a one minute long commercial for the Hero of the North founder’s pack, but much like a good Super Bowl commercial, it’s entertaining enough that I didn’t mind. There are armored horse mounts as well as armored spider mounts available with the purchase of the Neverwinter starter packs. There will also be mounts available in-game that you can purchase with gold, as well as mounts in the C-store for cash purchase. The developers are looking to have horse, spider, bear, and wolf mounts available, and of course any item in the C-store can be purchased using Astral Diamonds that you acquire in-game. Mounts will not be restricted based on race or class. The devs are also hoping to use Neverwinter Mounts as rewards in the future for things such as creating great Foundry content.
Players unlock the ability to acquire Neverwinter mounts in-game at level 20, so save up your gold and get ready to ride off into the sunset!
