The President of Iceland might be a fan of CCP Games EVE Online. He recently appeared in a video highlighting some of the features of their latest expansion. The appearance was a brief cameo right at the beginning, but I doubt anyone will hold that against him. Last I checked presidents were busy people.
As for CCP, the company is releasing it’s 17th free expansion for EVE Online, and they took some time to tell players a bit about it. The expansion features new content for both veteran and new players as well as updates to major components such as PvP and art direction.
One feature they highlighted was war decs — the system that allows players who are members of a corporation to declare war on anyone else in the game for any reason. For example, trade, territory or revenge.
According to the video, CCP has removed loopholes and bugs that have plagued the system for a while and have improved features that allow players to track their progress and see how many enemies they have wiped out during their war.
CCP has also done work on the more tactile stuff such as the art, sound at tech related to weapon launchers. They’ve given them better sounds and visuals like trails as well as given artillery the ability to hit multiple parts of a ship instead of a specific hit box.
It looks like EVE Online fans should be very excited about this expansion. The only description I have for it is: “Ooooh.. Shiny.”
