Fans of The Secret World related ARGs have been working through the night after receiving messages via text and email telling them that they had “passed the test” and directing them to a specific link where they needed to enter a code.
While the players did not share their codes they did share the results which led them back to another puzzle that a community member discovered a few months back buried in Funcom‘s main website showing a large door with a dial made up of Futhark runes.
To be honest, no one got as far as they would have liked with that particular ARG, but now we know why. The dial has changed and is now interactive. When players click on the “R” shaped — or Raidho — rune followed by the center orb a new screen will appear, giving clues and asking for a user name and password.
According to the 30-odd page thread on the forums related to this ARG, this is the first phase of this puzzle. Some people have solved it, others are working on it.
Before anyone asks, I haven’t tried my hand at it as of yet, but I’ll be digging around for answers soon enough.
