Will Super Adventure Box return on August 27th?!
Guild Wars 2 updated their releases page with a new tease for Super Adventure box. The tagline on it says “Check back on August 27th for more details!” which has lead some people to think perhaps we will get it back then. While I very much hope they are right, because the sooner it comes back the better, I don’t think it is likely. After my initial excitement abated slightly, I thought about it for a second and remembered the current content patch is over on September 3rd. It seems most likely we’ll get the Super Adventure box back then.
Don’t let this get you down though! First it’s just my thought on the matter, secondly it might be better if we don’t get it until then. GW2 has kept up their two week content cycle ever since they announced they were switching to it. However, so far every event which has started at the beginning of a month has actually lasted the entire month. Think about it. Dragon Bash, Bazaar of the Four Winds, and the Queen’s Jubilee have all lasted for four weeks instead of just two. Therefore if we get Super Adventure Box on September 3rd we should have four weeks to play in it instead of just two!
What will be in this update? Well we don’t know because Arenanet is just teasing us. It is a pretty safe bet one of the new worlds will open up (and it will likely have four levels again). I wouldn’t count on getting more than one new world. I also really hope they have the first world still open as well. Many people missed it completely or were unable to finish all the achievements so it would be awesome to give them a second (or first!) go at it. Hopefully there will also be new tools and music to go along with the new world as well.
What are you most looking forward to for the return of the Super Adventure Box?
