With the release of RuneScape 2007 Old School, Gary Gannon takes the opportunity to try it out in the first episode of Retro MMO.
RuneScape 2007 fans rejoice! Recently the team at RuneScape decided to see if their fans would truly be interested in playing an Old School version of the game. So in the interest of science, they set up a poll to see which version fans would be most interested in playing. Overwhelmingly, fans voted for RuneScape 2007 as their old school choice. So much so, in fact, that the team decided to go ahead and make it available before the poll has even ended.
The team has left the poll, up, but now it’s purpose is to determine how many players will be diving into RuneScape 2007 Old School and base things such as on-going development, cost of service level of maintenance and more. A friendly chart showing how many votes are required to achieve certain levels of service can be found here.
In addition, players have been charged with the task of building a community that will foster the kind of activity and memories that players of old school RuneScape 2007 remember. The team asks that players enjoy the game, help friends, be considerate to your fellow players, and give feedback.
Gary joins the fray…
For the first ever episode of Retro MMO, our own Gary Gannon downloads RuneScape 2007 Old School and braves the unknown. Unfortunately… He really has no idea what he’s doing. As a result it doesn’t take him long to get himself lost.
But, he soldiers on and decides to try his hand ad shearing sheep. As he put it, he shears the shit out of some sheep. And, of course, he makes wool.
It may take Gary a while to get the hang of this. But, there’s only one way to find out for certain. Sit back, relax and enjoy Gary’s adventures in RuneScape 2007 in the first ever episode of Retro MMO.
