ArenaNet continues to pump out the Guild Wars 2 patches at a rate of at least once per week and yesterday they updated the game client once again. The patch addressed some issues with Mystic Forge recipes, adjusted abilities for some professions (sorry mesmers), and closed up map exploits in dungeons. They also disabled certain items in World vs. World because apparently drake eggs and ettin gunk were too powerful. The maximum karma limit has been increased and they’ve relaxed the anti-exploiting system for loot and events which should make many players happy. There was also an awesome undocumented change that added the casting time for all abilities onto the tooltips.
The highlight of the patch is the adjustment they’ve made to the camera:
“We’ve updated the camera to reduce the amount of camera smoothing currently in the game in order to lower the frequency of related bugs. We’re still looking into other camera issues, but we decided to make this quick change because it greatly improves the gameplay experience.”
The camera feels much better now and it’s good to hear that they are still looking at ways to improve it: *Cough* Max Camera Distance Slider *Cough*. Check out the Guild Wars 2 forums for all of the gory details from the patch and let us know in the comments what you think about all of the changes.
