Think your guild leader is a jerk?
It could we worse — he could be a spy. And we don’t mean this kind.
Canadian naval intelligence officer Jeffrey Delisle — who was arrested in January for allegedly passing state secrets to Russian officials – was also a gamer who went under the handle “Baron Mordegan,” according to his ex-wife.
Describing him as having a “computer addiction problem” and “a lot of games like Ultimate Online [sic], World of Warcraft, and Star Wars,” Jennifer Delisle said her ex-husband “actually let our kids play a lot of video games like that too.” Oh, the horror!
Sub-lieutenant Delisle was also a medieval history buff who was very active on eBay, buying up weapons, armor, and clothing under his Baron Mordegan handle. But his purchases weren’t just limited to real-world items, according to his ex-wife:
“I remember he would trade weapons online, like a virtual sword for 300 bucks or something. I never really understood it.”
Now that’s hardcore.
