Star Wars The Old Republic Sets To Release Patch 1.3

Bioware‘s Star Wars the Old Republic is set to drop the latest patch Allies, and with this patch comes a number of improvements gamers have been chomping at the bit for.

Players should be excited to find a group finder has been added, giving you and your friends a way to declare your role and find others for Operations, Flashpoints, Warzones, or Planetary Heroic Missions.

New Legacy perks are also being unlocked in this patch. The new perks range from gaining experience from Warzones and Flashpoints to adding repair droids.

Lastly, players will find new adaptive gear and a much needed update to augments in the game. To get a better idea of how these new crafting updates work, head over to Big Changes.

Bioware has stated the scheduled maintenance should last four hours from 8am til 12pm on June 26^th. In an update, SWTOR‘s devs also cautioned that the maintenance could take longer, so be ready!

    Not really, since i was just on the Swtor website and forums, and there wasn’t any indication of them “shutting down”. The point is, i do not like Swtor’s game design concept, and i’ve criticized it harshly before, so throw away any pre-conceived notion that i’m a fanboy. The problem with this title is that it’s sensationalistic and unprofessional journalism. But i guess when you have hosts like Gary Gannon just trolling everything and anything, it’s to be expected. I’ll probably be done with this website now, and i’ve only been coming here for a couple weeks. I’ll just find more credible news sources elsewhere. Enjoy the circle jerk here where the “men” still act like “boys”.

When I started visiting this site in 2008, it was very enjoyable, and I donated multiple times. Go back to your roots GG. If you are desperate for views, this is why. I rarely visit this site anymore because frankly it just isn’t the same. Good luck.

        It’s not just this story – every time I’ve come to GBTV lately, it’s been sensationalism and misleading titles. Not much actual reporting or breaking news. Heck – even on their GW2 podcast, after last weekend, two of the ‘experts’ they had on the show didn’t know basic things about the weekend because they even admitted that they didn’t play it much. Why would I listen to them tell me about a game when I know more?
        
        There are too many other sites that are vying for the GW2 crowd ( and the MMO crowd as a whole ), so things like this make me wish that they ( GBTV ) would go back to what I liked about them before instead of showboating.

        Ummm, they say it’s shutting down for the patch, they don’t try to deliberately mislead anyone, they lay out the facts. You mad ‘casue they didn’t lay out all the facts in the title?         Again, that was just the title, the actual article and video both were all about 1.3 the updates it brings in and that the game is going down for that patch. Meaning nobody was mislead as long as you took the time to read beyond the title.

        Citing one issue of a publisher does not imply disdain for them. I love GBTV and if I didn’t I wouldn’t care to voice my concern as a consumer. I choose to get my news from a multitude of sources so I can be sure to get as broad a spectrum of information as possible to allow me to form my own conclusions. Feel free to keep allowing yourself to be used and lied to. It really has no bearing on me.

    Nope not really, been watching GBTV and other sites / publishers for years bud. I just try to get my news from sources that aren’t inaccurate or deliberately misleading. There’s a reason I don’t watch fox news and many MANY other news outlets, gaming related or not. To me integrity is huge as is being direct and honest. If a publisher feels the need to sway my viewing time by misleading me into a click, they don’t deserve my business. And don’t kid yourself, your clicks are money in their pockets. I’m gunna come out of MMO Retirement to give SWTOR another go, I gave Rift 3 chances and didn’t last 2 hours in that shit hole (Excuse my honest/personal opinion). Im gunna see if i can break that record in just one attempt .
