ArenaNet’s Guild Wars 2 game designer Jonathan Sharp dropped a new video showing off the latest PvP map Temple Of The Silent Storm.

A Kodan inspired map featuring new PvP mechanics but sadly, parts of the community still feel ArenaNet has not given a true map designed for the hardcore eSports style PvPer.

Best pvp change = The /rank command will now show your PvP ranking. This only works in the PvP lobby and cannot be used inside an active PvP game… if you read that patch not you might think they are trying to kill this game…

  I don’t understand how the sPvP ranking system works. Do you earn qualifying points by playing paid games? Do you loose points from losing paid games? Does it matter how any matches you play? Guildcast and Build cast don’t seem to cover this.

    the more qualifying points you have = the higher you are and you don’t lose any if you lose games and it does not matter how many games you play

Arenanet really need to do something about sound production in their promotional videos. They seem to really start out bad to the point of distracting.

    Lol, figured they had been in the lore for awhile, the idea of pandas or bear warriors is not the most original.
    
    But using them in a map or that mechanic was sure to bring up comparison.

  Agreed. The video was cool and the commentary was interesting but the sound-quality was so terrible I just couldn’t listen.
