TERA Adds Guild Vs. Guild Battles On PvE Servers, Free Trial

Why should players on TERA‘s PvP servers have all the fun?

With Patch 17.32.01 for the game, which went live yesterday, guilds on PvE servers can now indulge in the glory of battle by declaring war on each other, just like guilds on PvP servers. Guild-on-guild battles last 24 hours or until one side forfeits like the namby-pamby wimps they are.

It sounds like a good way for guilds with lots of high-level characters to get their kicks, but it might come as a shock when your level 15 character is suddenly assaulted by a level 40 from an enemy guild. Does your guild offer health insurance?

Also, En Masse Entertainment is now offering a free seven-day trial of TERA, letting you advance up to eight characters to level 23. Just enter the code TERATRIAL in your En Masse account and off you go! If you convert to a paid account, you’ll be able to keep your characters — and if you actually make eight of them, you probably should.

Lol, not actually Tera is failing, and they need to do anything and everything to try and get more money. Also don’t wast your time and money on Tera, just in FYI.

Good move from En Masse and I love the timing of it all.  It almost seems like the En Masse went into the official GW2 forums after this BWE and realized a significant portion of the pre-purchasers and the GW2 community don’t actually like GW2 and are canceling their order en masse and they are looking for something new.  So Tera could be that solution.

However, I don’t think the average MMO player can play the game as you can’t be a clicker in Tera and it is rated M which leaves out most of the communities of other games especially games like GW2.

As to Jason’s point, I think subscription games should go even further.  They should give out boxed copies and not charge for expansions.  In this competitive market free trails aren’t enough.

Sharuko, you have an odd obsession with GW2. This obsession leads you to….how to put this nicely….well you sort of make stuff up. I am not saying you out right lie about facts but you greatly exaggerate things to suit your beliefs. There aren’t too many people who visit this site with any regularity who don’t know that your a huge Tera fan (nothing wrong with that btw, it’s not my cup of tea but I digress) You could save so much anger and dislike if you’d only realize that the two games, Tera and GW2 aren’t alike, they don’t have to be and that is just fine. You like Vanilla someone else might like Chocolate it does not mean you are right or wrong. I have an idea and maybe this will sooth whatever “Troll” nerve GW2 must have struck, since we know you have purchased GW2 and since you seem to hate it, would it make you feel less bad if I bought Tera and didn’t play it?
Nahhh I’m just kidding I wouldn’t do that, I dig your Trolling kid keep up the good work BUT if you troll please troll with solid facts and not embellish them so to make your argument seem stronger. OR Prove your statements if you can. Take care Pal, I await your next Rant.

Maybe it’s because GameBreaker keeps showing GW2 in the background. :)

I don’t mind a good old fashioned troll who says this GW2 sucks and Tera is way better. What worries me with Sharuko is that he actually seems to really believe the ‘facts’ he includes in his posts. He says ‘a significant portion of the pre-purchasers and the GW2 community don’t actually like GW2 and are canceling their orders en masse’, when in reality a handful of of people are asking for changes or disliking certain features, which always seem to be countered by more saying it shouldn’t change.

I really am starting to worry about the poor chap.

Sharuko, it is okay for other people not to like the same things that you do. This level of delusional obsession is really not healthy.

Haha you are still not over GW2 hatred. Dude game is great you are missing out. I feel sorry for you for not realizing that. I’m not saying Tera isnt good. But GW2 is also a great game.

Also wanted to mention that “free trail” for Tera is terrible it plays in a browser window on low resolution it would better serve them to remove that all together because some people wont even realize that when you buy a game it looks awsome not like that shit in the window.

Making a trial like that is pretty dangerous for them.

    LOL tera sux

Tera was only interesting because of the combat, something I feel more MMOs should’ve gone over the past years, if not a step further but Tera if anything needs to fix their damn leveling/questing design.

Boring as heck leveling outside of BAMs and bosses which are very fun, so it makes one half of the game feel like a pain and the other enjoyable, unfortunately you have to tread over rotting crap to smell the roses.

On a minor note, some better dubbed voices on many in game NPCs and the stamina system needs reworking. Its lame having to constantly re-charge or pay currency to make you go broke on potions for it.
