The Elder Scrolls Online Live From QuakeCon
QuakeCon is near, and with it comes Elder Scrolls Online gameplay!
QuakeCon kicks off later this week! In addition to having playable demos of Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Elder Scrolls Online and Dishonored’s DLC on the showroom floor, there’s plenty of livestream stuff to check out.
On Friday, August 2nd at 1:30 EST, Bethesda’s Twitch channel will be featuring live gameplay of The Elder Scrolls Online. This will be our first chance to dissect the game and its core gameplay features through the magic of internet video streaming. No doubt plenty of crazy people will be dissecting it frame for frame in hope of deciding whether or not it’s already a total failure. By the way, the ESO show is coming. Eventually™.
“Check out the first streamed gameplay of The Elder Scrolls Online, live from QuakeCon 2013! Don’t miss never-before-seen areas as ZeniMax Online Studio’s creative director, Paul Sage joins other members of ZeniMax Online Studios to show off the latest chapter in the Elder Scrolls saga.”
John Carmack will also be giving the keynote, “The Principles of Lighting and Rendering” at 6 PM EST on August 2nd. It will also be streamed online on Bethesda’s channel. Carmack will be discussing the multitude of ways developers create realistic lighting within games and various other things. According to Bethesda it is “not for the technically faint at heart.”
“John Carmack returns to the mains stage to explain how light behaves in the real world, and the approximations and compromises that are involved in simulating the behavior with computers. This lecture will be geared towards those interested in the interactions of light in the world and how computer software simulates it.”
Is your body ready? The time is near. Just few days we’ll be seeing our first live gameplay demo for Elder Scrolls Online.
