You just don't give up do you? Just take a simple look around ALL of the gaming sites, blogs, forums, and any place else that games are being discussed. You will easily see what the majority of people feel (both press and players) for those that have spent a good amount of time in both Tera and GW2. Sorry to break it to you, but GW2 is easily referred to as the much better game. That doesn't mean Tera is a bad game, it just means that GW2 is and will be the better of the two. Of course, you completely disregard and ignore any of this because that's all you ever do. BTW, common sense would tell you that there is no reason to have to wait on time to tell, the answer is already known. GW2 is a better game than Tera. Just because you like Tera more isn't going to change that.

> If you work for 2 days at minimum wage (U.S.) you
> can pay a year of subscription fees.

Two days at minimum wage would be 116 dollars. One year of WoW (to use the most popular example) would be 156 dollars (192 if you pay monthly), so it's more like 3 days. And that doesn't include the cost of the actual game, plus all the expansions that you need to play current content. Also, a lot of people all over the world make far less than US minimum wage.

> MMOs with sub fees are still one of the cheapest forms of entertainment.

But still more expensive than MMOs without subscription fees.

As WoW's "evolution" since the end of TBC shows, the steady income of subscription fees does not guarantee quality.

Subscription fees are unappealing for players with limited free time (because they feel they're not getting their money's worth) and are seen as a barrier by potential new players. If a company is trying to establish itself, building a large player base is priority #1. Every player driven away by the prospect of a recurring subscription fee is a player that will never spend extra money at the cash shop, and a player who will never recommend the game to his friends or improve the game's popularity statistics.

If the cash shop sells useful consumables (ex., remote bank access) or has a steady stream of new vanity items (pets, mounts, hats), players will end up spending as much (or even more) money, but will feel happier because they will be doing so on their terms and getting something in exchange for their money.

When people pay for a subscription fee they feel like they're paying some sort of tax to avoid losing access to their stuff (which they feel they "earned" by playing). It doesn't feel like you're buying something, it feels like you're just being threatened into paying the "protection money".

Unless you can rely on an established (and, in many cases, addicted) player base, the carrot works better than the stick.

Ok i give up me and many other ppl tryde to talk sense in to you, everything i said where and are valid arguments and not single person here on the site said my arguments where invalid, while you well i wont bring up statistics but there of the chart
if i got a penny for every person ho correct you i would be rich by now and wouldent worry about subs for multiple MMO games just like you.

But you forget the fact that when ppl talk to you, you dont even listen to them you just keep ignoring the facts and whining and whining without seeing the error of your thinking wich is just as bad.

You dident have a single good argument WHY Tera would be better just that it would be better becuz you say so
wich issent a argument but a opinion.

Try to back up the Bull**** you say with valid arguments
and you wont find ppl personaly attaking you

My tone was allot nicer in the begining but you just had to get on my nerv, anyway if i have offended you in anyway my sincere apologies but try to listen next time.

Nice personal attacks. That happens when a person doesn't have a valid argument. Stick to talking about games.

It is common sense, MMOs are one of the cheapest forms of entertainment. When I quit MMOs for a while, I used to buy console games. For the price of 2 console games I could have played a years worth of MMOs.
