Funcom reveals The Secret World Issue 6: The Last Train To Cairo – complete with issue cover art.
Funcom has officially announced the first true post-subscription update for TSW – The Secret World Issue 6: The Last Train To Cairo. As you can guess from the title, the content in this issue is centered around dark happenings in Egypt. According the the official TSW blog post, players will get to experience a “deep and revealing story within Egypt” that will require them to travel back in time and find artifacts that will help them destroy the darkness of the present.
The new story line promises to contain several missions as well as side missions that can be done to get powerful rewards.
Auxiliary Weapon!
The Secret World Issue 6 will also bring with it the Whip Auxiliary weapon which can be used not only for impressive area damage but also as a buff for your group or even crowd control. Apparently you can whip your group members into running faster. (Seems a little sadistic, but hey… If it works.) The weapon can also be used to grab enemies and pull them closer.
Plus… It makes you look cool, as can be seen in the image below:
New Raid?!
Okay.. They didn’t say “raid” they said “raid sized adversary” but… ten-man group. According to the post, players can travel to some secret location in the South Pacific in order to battle a nasty looking creature in what they are calling “Jaws of Steel”.
Veteran Rewards
The Secret World Issue 6 also ads veteran rewards for members. For every month a player is a member they recieve points that will allow them to buy special rewards. And, they can get additional points for recruiting people.
For the PvP players among you, you may also want to note that changes are coming for the ranking system.
Of course, this is just a brief rundown of what will be coming in The Secret World Issue 6. As is customary, they will be dropping a big bucked of notes on us at a later point. But, if you want to check out what they do have so far, you can read the full post here, and peek at some screenshots here.
And as always, tune in for TWIMMO right here on GAMEBREAKER every Friday at 3 Pacific for the latest TSW news.
