A few days ago, the European Tera forums erupted with angry posts from fans after they discovered during the last beta test that the blood slider had been removed from game.
Fans were upset not only because of the blood slider removal, but also because they felt lied to. And they were angry enough to start trying to cancel their pre-orders.
Tuesday, Tera CM Raven posted an open letter to the EU Tera community announcing that they have heard the community and are listening. The letters addressed more issues than the blood slider and included the Elin textures, breast sizes and the emblem feature.
According to Raven the blood slider will be put back into the game — after launch — and will function the same as it did before. However they have changed the blood splatter on the screen. Apparently, it is the screen splatter that will affect the PEGI 12+ rating.
While the majority of the EU Tera community seem to be pretty okay with the letter, there are those who are taking Frogster to task. Some fans feel that these changes do not fit Frogster’s earlier assertions that the game will make it to Europe intact.
I’m inclined to agree with these people as it seems unlikely that the game will be able to hold up to the 12+ rating without continuous adjustments by the EU developers.
