The good folk at Adriacraft have datamined a chunk of audio files associated with the Wrathion Legendary Quest Chain, which include far more, including some exciting information on the Thunder King!
The audio is available in full at the bottom of the page, as well as commented on in the video above with our very own Li’l Missy, of TankSpot, Convert2Raid and, of course, Gamebreaker TV! The audio starts off slow, with some elements of Wrathion joining forces with the Shado-Pan, charging some metal with electricity and the like, before it moves on to the more interesting elements.
You and Wrathion seem to happen upon some Runestones, telling the story of the Titans, the Mogu and the Old Gods, and giving us some insight on how they tie together. According to this runestone, the Mogu were Titan Constructs, soul-less creatures built of stone, made mortal by the Curse of Flesh. However, they found a way to reverse the process. Their master was a Titan Keeper, by the name of Ra, and in Mogu dialect, Ra-Den simply means Master Ra. Another runestone makes mention of an Old God Y’Shaarj, with seven heads, who could be the source of the Sha infestation on Pandaria.
Wrathion continues, talking about how The Vale of Eternal Blossoms is essentially a laboratory for the Titans, like Un’goro Crater or Sholazar Basin, which the Mogu were sent to Pandaria to guard. But for 1,000 years they had no word from their masters, and their bodies had turned to flesh. They began to argue, and fell into warrior clans, but one king was more ambitious than the others: Lei Shen, the Thunder King. When the Titan keeper fell silent, Lei Shen decided to speak for him, and took on the power of Ra-Den, united the Mogu into an empire and tried to continue the Titans’ work…
