Guild Wars 2 hasn’t released yet, I know plenty of friends who aren’t planning on purchasing it until the game is actually completed. I’d be surprised if the sales figures didn’t explode on opening day. We should also keep in mind that Amazon isn’t the only places these games are selling, NCsoft and En Masse both have their own stores where they sell the game.

I had a very fun boss fight in the dome area of GW2 where the boss was charging all over the place wiping out anyone that didn’t dodge. In fact I found a great tactic as a thief with bow was to lay an immobilizing spike trap in front of me so if the boss charged me it was stopped in it’s tracks for 5 seconds and poisoned giving players a chance to pile on some damage.

True, but about 75% of the people I saw in Open beta in tera had the white stallion mount(Means you bought for the En Masse Store)

GW2 is being developed by ArenaNet… Aion was not. NCSoft being the publisher has pretty much nothing to do with anything. It’s like saying Medal of Honor and Mass Effect were made by the same guys.

I haven’t seen such things on Reddit, and those who do have negative opinions didn’t bring Tera up (they also broke NDA, which in my book ruins their opinion’s credibility)

I do find it amusing that you have no reply for DoctorOverlord, but you do have one for the person that curses in their reply. Perhaps it’s not in my best interest to assume, but it seems to me that you’re just poking aggressive posters in the ribs to get a rise out of them. Or in other words, trolling.

Exactly what i was thinking. I bought the game through NCSoft my self, as well as several of my friends. So Id really like to see the numbers from NCSoft.

These kinds of numbers always interest me. And what I find even more interesting is that a lot of people bought GW2 through the NCSoft store, NOT through Amazon. So for the Amazon sales of GW2 to equal Tera when Amazon wasn’t even the primary way to buy the game is saying something.

I don’t think this really tell who’s selling the most because I think about 70% of the people that plan on playing GW2 bought their digitally. Just if you want CE it have to be from retailer. And Amazon don’t offer CE…And I think most of the people bought their Tera pre-order digital too, because I myself pre-order Tera directly from En Masse’s website. I have also pre-purchase gw2 deluxe eidtion directly from anet too. So you can not just basic everything from amazon.

Yeah, I don’t think you can use the Amazon pre-orders as a reliable source for GW2 sale.To my knowledge Amazon were only offering GW2 ‘pre-order’ (i.e. no beta access) and not GW2 ‘pre-purchase’ so anyone who wanted to get into beta wouldn’t have purchased the game via Amazon.
