We’re so close guys! RIFT’s first expansion, Storm Legion, isn’t far off and Trion is busy preparing players for what’s to come. Yesterday, the company released a preparatory patch titled Calm Before the Storm which will set things up nicely for players before the expansion hits November 13th.
This patch brought with it not only a new world event and an instant adventure for Scarwood Reach, but also cross-faction gameplay that will allow Defiant and Guardian to team up for dungeons, raids and some PvP. Cross-faction gameplay is a huge aspect of the Storm Legion expansion as the two sides with — somewhat — put their differences aside and team up against an even greater enemy.
So, if for some reason you haven’t already, I’d suggest starting up the RIFT launcher and grabbing this patch. Try things out and let us know what you think.
