It’s that time of year again! Every year gamers and developers join forces to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network. The charity event — held by Extra Life — is a 24-hour video game marathon that functions much in the same way a walk-a-thon for charity event would. Except! You play video games.
For the past two years, game developer and publisher Trion Worlds has participated in the Extra Life charity event and have helped to raise money for sick kids in need. And this year is no exception.
Trion will be participating for their third consecutive year, and to make the event even more special, they have decided to live-stream the entire experience. During the stream, there will be surprise appearances by members of the dev team, distributing in-game awards and giving sneak peeks of upcoming releases including RIFT: Storm Legion, End of Nations, Warface and Defiance.
Currently there are 144 people participating as part of Team Trion Worlds working to hit a goal of $9,001. Anyone looking to donate can donate through one of the team member’s profile pages on Extra Life’s site.
So, be sure to catch Trion’s stream at http://www.twitch.tv/trionworlds scheduled to run from 8am PDT, October 20th to 8am PDT, October 21st.
Trion’s streams are always fun and you’ll be able to check out upcoming games and cheer them on while helping sick kids. Can you think of a better way to spend your day?
