Mists of Pandaria Collector's Edition Mount and Pet Revealed

“Tales of their existence will soon come to fruition in Mists of Pandaria!”

Thats the word according to the Mists of Pandaria Facebook page where 3 new images have surfaced of what is assumed to be the special mount and pet given to those who purchase the Collector’s Edition. If the images and surrounding talk are to be believed, this will be the first occurrence of a mount being available to those who order this higher level edition of the game.

While most fans are probably excited for this new exclusive mount, it is relatively surprising to see what appears to be a ground mount only. Given the fact players unlock flying mounts again once they reach level 90, it begs the question: how much use will this mount see?

Assuming these in game items will follow suit with previous collectors editions, they’ll be available to all characters created once you activate the game on your Battle.net page.

You know; it occurs to me that this is still a really good, really solid game. And they are adding features and such to improve upon it. And yet I am just not at all excited about it, I seem to be lacking motivation to care about this game.

Perhaps I have just burned myself out on the IP, I have followed it for close to 15 years now. Ah well, even though I will probably not be playing; I wish it success.

The pet looks like a bad re-skin on the Pug achievement pet.

The ground mount would makes sense, you would use it from level 85 to 90, and could continue using it within some of the outdoor instances. Once you hit 90, you would switch to the how to raise your dragon flying mount.

The pet is going for the Pekingese look. Yep, the picture looks like a re-skinned PUG pet. It would be funny to pull out your Pekingese during a pet battle.

From what I heard the mount scales with your riding. So I figure the lion can eventually fly.

I honestly think that only the pet will be a part of the CE. I’m assuming the mount has something to do with the AP. Hopefully we’ll find out soon for reals and not soon(tm).

I like the Asian theme of Mists so much. So. Much. But the pet / mount shown really doesn’t do anything for me. They’re just kinda there, looking out of place. I mean, the neckbeard on the pet is kinda creepy. I know it’s supposed to be a mane but it just looks like it doesn’t go there. The mount looks too bulky and gaudy like a big piece of old woman jewelry. I totally don’t want to ride around on something that looks like grannyma would like. Sort of takes away the epic feeling, you know?

Oh well tho… Maybe they’ll grow on me eventually. I was really hoping for something cooler like one of the spirits of the elements in the pandarian starter zone. They were cute AND epic.

The mount will be the draw to the collectors edition, i my self am i mount collector, and no matter the look i want it for my COLLECTION its for collection rather then vanity and Worthy of sitting outside a raid or in a main city
